Option 1 - G2G Bilateral Cooperation
Eligible activities from conditional NDC

To create an account
- Send a request to CMO to open an account on the GCR via email on cmo@epa.gov.gh
- CMO replies by informing you to complete the mitigation activity participant/ entity application form and pay the necessary fees.
- Make the necessary payment, complete, and submit the application form and attach supporting documents using the link provided in the form.
- CMO provides you with the account credentials and the procedure for activating the account, via email.
- Activate the account.
Authorisation

- The activity developer submits a request letter of authorization to the Carbon Market Office using the authorization request form [Section 2.4, 3.9 of the Ghana’s international carbon markets framework document].

Transfer & corresponding adjustment (CA)

- Regardless of the registry on which the MOs are created and recorded, all transfers of the ITMOs to the Registry of the participating acquiring Country shall commence from the GCR.
- Carbon Market Office first transfers ITMOs to the Registry of participating acquiring Party for the Uses as defined per Decision 2/CMA.3 and the provisions in the letter of authorisation.
- Carbon Market Office cancels an equal amount of transferred ITMOs in the retirement account on the GCR.

- EPA and Carbon Market Office prepares Regular Information on Ghana’s Article 6.2 cooperation approach as an annexe to biennial transparency reports
